This game wasn't even close, but it's not the score that's important in summer league. The game featured No. 3 pick Bradley Beal for Washington and No. 23 pick John Jenkins for Atlanta.
?
Most Valuable Player: John Jenkins
Jenkins absolutely lit up this game. His three was on and he repeatedly hit shots with Beal right on him.
Despite his good game, Jenkins faults were also obvious in the game. He seems pretty limited offensively to just being a shooter. He showed no amazing moves to get to the basket. Still, a knock-down shooter who can come of screens well is a great asset to have.
Things to take away from the game:
Bradley Beal looked unimpressive in his first game. He didn't shoot particularly well and had trouble freeing himself from his defender. Beal still flashed his athleticism at times, got to the line a lot and was a great on-ball defender.
Jenkins was simply better.
Jan Vesely looked really good as a shooter, but was pushed around by stronger players. Jan simply didn't look strong enough for an NBA small forward, but he has time to get stronger. He also had a hard time driving to the basket with success. His jump shot was really smooth and he had several very athletic dunks.
Undrafted free agent Brad Wanamaker had a great all-around game for Atlanta. He looks like a player who could easily play the backup point guard role on an NBA team. Wanamaker was able to get to the rim, pass well and play good defense on Shelvin Mack.

Play of the Game
An alley-oop from Shelvin Mack to Vesely is a good candidate, but the award goes to former Oakland center Keith Benson, who had back-to-back dunks, the first coming on an alley-oop.
This game wasn't close at all, but still showcased several NBA talents and up-and-coming players for both squads. The Wizards were beat mostly because they were out-rebounded. That shouldn't say much about the team, however, because they were stuck playing Vesely and small forward Chris Singleton as their big men.
