David Bowie meets Tim Tebow for 'Tebowie'

Jimmy Fallon combined Tim Tebow and David Bowie and came up with "Tebowie."

Tim Tebow is a magnet for all pop-culture parody and tribute. Earlier this week,? we reported that "St. Elmo's Fire" songwriter John Parr has reworked that 1980s hit for the Denver Broncos quarterback.

And Thursday night, Jimmy Fallon combined Tebow and another musical moment when he offered up "Tebowie," a hilarious sketch melding the quarterback with musical legend David Bowie.

On "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," the host merged Bowie's Ziggy Stardust look with Tebow's jersey and pads and sang Bowie's 1969 "Space Oddity" with new lyrics. Instead of "Ground Control to Major Tom," the song came from "Jesus Christ to Tim Tebow" and vice-versa.

In Fallon's version, Jesus admonishes the QB for requesting his help during games, saying "Don't you know my day of rest is Sunday?" and warns him not to expect divine assistance in his upcoming game against the Patriots, saying "Dude, you're on your own. (Tom) Brady is too good and I've got better things to do."

Then Tebow himself takes the lyrics, and proclaims, "I want to make it to the Super Bowl, and show everyone on Earth how to Tebow," before striking his famous prayer pose.
